Richard Vilensky is an award-winning writer and director based in Sydney, Australia. 

In 2007 he was one of four students accepted into the Directing course at The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). In 2008, Vilensky’s film CLOSE DISTANCE won the ATOM Award for Best Student Film and in 2009, his film LIEBERMANS IN THE SKY was nominated for two AFI Awards – Best Short Fiction Film and Best Short Film Screenplay. 

A dynamic young filmmaker and writer, Vilensky is passionate about character driven storytelling and has a rare gift for offbeat comedy. He is also an up and coming TVC director with a growing catalogue of highly acclaimed commercial work.
